Frequently Asked Questions
Here you can find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.
How do I register?
You will receive an email from the University containing a link and a ‘how to’ document.
Further information can be found here.
Please ensure that you follow all steps, including confirming your engagement to fully register.
Enrolling with Duo
All digital services, including academic registration, require multi-factor authentication via Duo. You will need to enrol a smart device or mobile number as soon as possible after activating your IT account (known as MWS) to be able to access our digital services. When you login, you will be asked for a code, which you can access via Duo.
For international students, you can register with an international number or device before arriving in the UK, but if it doesn’t work once you’re here, you will need to re-register with a UK-compatible number or device.
Please note: Enrolment takes up to 12 hours to activate, so you may experience delays accessing services such as academic registration, email, and Canvas during this time.
What do I do if I have registered but not received my loan?
After you have registered, your finance information will automatically update for your loan.
If you are still having issues, please contact Student Administration and Support (SAS) via their Live Chat.
Where will I find my reading lists?
These are available on the library webpage.
I'm not sure what term dates are?
You can find this information here.
