Designed exclusively for students at the Taicang campus, the Taicang 2+1+1 programme is a unique initiative aimed at enriching your educational journey and preparing you for success in a globalised world. This programme serves to complement and extend your studies in Taicang, providing you with a well-rounded profile that stands out in today's competitive job market.

The Intelligent Supply Chain with Contemporary Entrepreneurialism Year in Liverpool has been carefully designed to ensure students who come to Liverpool meet the same learning outcomes as those that stay in Taicang. Year in Liverpool will give you a chance to gain a competitive edge by studying at a globally recognised, highly ranked, triple accredited Management School.

Modules on the Intelligent Supply Chain Year in Liverpool have a theoretical underpinning with a practice led approach covering core aspects of the supply chain discipline. In addition, entrepreneurship takes centre stage throughout the Taicang 2+1+1 programme, with students gaining real-world experiences through creating and developing innovative solutions to real world business challenges. Students will have opportunities to attend talks, and events provided by the prestigious Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship.

Semester one

During your Year in Liverpool, you will build upon the foundations you have gained in your studies at Taicang. You will demonstrate an understanding, knowledge and application of supply chain and entrepreneurship concepts and principles across a range of business contexts.

On the Taicang 2+1+1 programme, you'll study your third year at the University of Liverpool on a bespoke programme of modules tailored to match the third year of the Taicang programmes. You'll then return back to China for your final year of study at XEC.

Semester two

University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) has recognised expertise in supply chain. You will be joining a vibrant community of world-leading professors and ambitious students to strengthen your understanding of the supply chain discipline area.

On the Taicang 2+1+1 programme, you'll study your third year at the University of Liverpool on a bespoke programme of modules tailored to match the third year of the Taicang programmes. You'll then return back to China for your final year of study at XEC.

Fees and funding

Tuition fees cover the cost of your teaching and assessment, operating facilities such as libraries, IT equipment, and access to academic and personal support.

All Taicang 2+1+1 students receive a partnership discount of 10% on the standard fees for international students.

The net fees (inclusive of the discounts) can be seen below.

Tuition fees

2026 tuition fee (full) - £26,100.

2026 tuition fee for Taicang 2+1+1 students (inclusive of 10% discount) - £23,490.
