Scottish Power Scholarships

The Scottish Power Master Scholarship is designed to train top-calibre professionals in the energy sector, who are capable of contributing to the development of a sustainable energy model that meets the energy needs of society and promotes environmental protection.

What you'll receive

  • A monthly bursary of £1,200

Eligibility criteria

To receive this scholarship, you must:

  • Be eligible to study in the UK
  • Studying a course in one of the following subject areas:
    • Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Electronic Engineering
    • Data / Cyber / Cyber Security / Telecoms / Business Analytics / Cloud Computing / AI.

In return, we'd like scholars to:

  • Promote this programme and our wider career opportunities by supporting our recruitment activities 
  • Be a STEM ambassador for the industry.
Eligible courses

Scottish Power will consider MSc degrees related to the specified themes listed above. They may consider applications from applicants to other programmes if they have relevant undergraduate experience linked to the themes.

  • Advanced Data Science and AI with a Year in Industry MSc
  • Advanced Mechanical Engineering MSc (Eng)
  • Environment and Climate Change MSc
  • Environmental Assessment and Management MSc
  • Environmental Sciences MSc
  • Geographic Data Science MSc
  • Renewable and Sustainable Energy MSc (Eng)
  • Renewable and Sustainable Energy with a Year in Industry MSc (Eng)
  • Sustainable Civil and Structural Engineering MSc (Eng).

Please note: when applying online, within the Programme Details section you should select ‘Other’ in the country dropdown and you will then be able to free type in all of the boxes (listing your specific MSc course).
