Radiation Protection Office
The Radiation Protection Office provides advice on all aspects of radiation protection and the installation and use of X-ray equipment, lasers, UV, microwave and radio-frequency devices and on the hazards of working with radioactive substances.
Local rules are applied to any work involving ionising or non-ionising radiation, substances or devices. Any University of Liverpool staff member who works with ionising radiation should be registered with the Radiation Protection Office.
