    Personal Statement

    Qualified as a diagnostic radiographer and specialised in MRI and MRS. Appointed as a lecturer for the Department of Medical Imaging in 2001.
    I qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer in Liverpool and a radiographer and later specialise in MRI imaging and research. I moved into radiographer education and have been teaching for over 20 years.

    I have held most administrative posts within radiography education and have held posts including School of Health Sciences Widening Participation Lead and IPH Lead for Equality and Diversity. I have also been Chair of Athena Swan for IPH. I am currently Chair of Advance HE Race Equality Charter panels and a member of their governance committee.
    I am currently now working part-time but continue to contribute to race equality in the university in my roles as Chair of BAME staff network and also member of the university Race Equality Charter self assessment Team. I have also been working with colleagues across the university in the development of an inclusive curricula tool.
