Personal Statement

Liz is an experienced quantitative health researcher. She has a PhD in Epidemiology and over 10-years' experience working as an academic health economist. She has a particular interest in mental health and women's/maternal health although has secured over £15m of funding for a broad portfolio of projects across a wide range of clinical areas. She has a unique set of complementary skills from her background in psychology and epidemiology in combination with her expertise in economic evaluation. She works as part of multi-disciplinary research teams on projects based in Liverpool, across the UK, and further afield in sub-Saharan Africa. Within the University of Liverpool, Liz is a member of the Health Inequalities Policy Research (HIP-R) Group, based in the Department of Public Health Policy and Systems, within the Institute of Population Health.
