About

Personal Statement

I qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Liverpool in 1997. After completing my basic rotations in the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital Trusts, I moved to University Hospital Aintree to continue my interest within Neuro rehabilitation. Having worked on the Stroke rehab Unit for a number of years I then took up a Senior Physiotherapist position in the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery. I completed by MSc Neuro Rehabilitation in 2009. Having enjoyed mentoring students on clinical placement was able to continue this interest by working part time as a clinical tutor at the University of Liverpool as well as maintaining my clinical position in WCNN; between 2008 and 2011. I currently work full time as a lecturer in Physiotherapy specialising in undergraduate neuro - rehabilitation teaching.
