Research

Yumeng’s research examines how firms manage and govern relationships amid digital and institutional change. Using econometric methods and analytical modeling, she studies these issues across inter-firm networks, channels and supply chains, and platform ecosystems:

1. Inter-firm Relationships and Networks. Investigating how technology-enabled interactions and network ties shape value creation, risk contagion, and coordination in B2B relationships and supply networks.

2. Channel Design and Omni-channel Coordination. Analyzing how firms align incentives and manage channel conflict across physical and digital touchpoints, including e-commerce and live-streaming settings.

3. Platform and Algorithmic Governance. Examining how generative AI, algorithmic curation, and information design shape the interactions among platforms, sellers, and consumers, with implications for market efficiency and ecosystem governance.
