Professional Activities

I think it is important that students have opportunities to extend their scientific knowledge and contacts beyond the formal content of their degree programmes. This helps with appreciation of the intellectual challenges as well as many well-rewarded careers within the modern biological sciences. I am organising the third Botanical University Challenge, an inter-university competition for students.
