Research
My current research revolves around answering three broad questions:
How are organisations addressing the ecological crises?
I am interested in researching how organisations are addressing the different ecological crises (e.g., climate change, pollution, biodiversity loss). One of my projects approach this question through the study of climate change imaginaries—the fundamental significations that guide how organisations respond to climate change. In a second approach, we study with co-authors the violent practices arising from green initiatives and how these may be transformed through different kinds of organising.
How does power and care relate?
Organisations are traversed with different forms of power, a topic with a long research history. And organisations are also traversed with care (and the lack thereof), but the interrelation of power and care has received less attention. Currently, with co-authors we study this interrelationship within business schools, where power and care dynamics affect academics, staff, and students.
Should AI be welcomed in management education?
With the recent development of AI, questions arise about whether it should be welcomed in management education. With co-authors, we approach this question by studying the impact of AI on the governance of knowledge production, while in another project we focus on the impact of AI on the critical thinking skills of management students.
