About

I gained a BSc in Forensic Science from Keele University in 2018, with my undergraduate project focused on the use of ICP-MS analysis to measure phosphorus levels in porcine tissue to establish post-mortem interval.

I completed my PhD at Sheffield Hallam University in 2022 which was funded by Defence Science and Technology Laboratories (Dstl). My project centered around the development and validation of bottom-up proteomic MALDI-MS based methods for the reliable detection of biofluids in contaminated fingermarks found at crime scenes, using both profiling and imaging approaches.

As a PDRA, I am using high-throughput LC-MS proteomic approaches for the rapid screening of patient samples to investigate treatment responses in both children and adults who have idiopathic nephrotic syndrome. This work, funded by LifeArc, forms part of a multi-omic pipeline, integrating patient metadata and data science to assist in patient stratification and in guiding treatment approaches.
