Personal Statement

Tuuli Hakkarainen is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organisational behavior at the Work, Organisation and Management subject group at ULMS. Tuuli's interdisciplinary research interests lie in the following themes:

1. Global Work: Expert Workforce, Multi-project Work, Global Teamwork
2. The Role of Advanced Technology in Organizations: Blockchain Technology, Digital workplace
3. International Business Research: The Impact of ESG Incidents on International Brands
4. Research Methods: Qualitative Research, Linguistic Analysis

Her research has been published in Strategic Management Journal, Global Strategy Journal, and European Journal of Information Systems.

Tuuli obtained her PhD in International Business from Aalto University, Finland. Before joining ULMS, Tuuli worked as an Adjunct Professor at Bocconi University in Italy and has completed multiple research visits in universities in Europe and Asia. Before academia, she worked in human resource management as well as in the financial and educational sectors in Finland.
