About

Personal Statement

I am a digital transformation consultant, entrepreneur (founder of Droovy LTD), and business lecturer who holds a PhD in Business Management from the esteemed University of Liverpool, which boasts triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS. Additionally, I am a PMP-certified MBA holder with a background in software engineering, possessing skills in artificial intelligence, digital systems development, gamification and data analytics. My accolades include multiple awards from the British Academy of Management and the European Conference of Game-Based Learning, recognising my work in leveraging gamification technologies for educational purposes. Notably, I secured two management Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) grants totalling £376,649, establishing a ground-breaking industrial collaboration between the University of Liverpool and Kays Medical, a remarkable achievement that marked the University's first management KTP.

At present, I am engaged in lecturing within the distinguished Operations & Supply Chain Management Department. An extraordinary accomplishment in my career involves successfully spearheading the digital transformation initiative for the multi-million-pound Liverpool City Region (LCR 4.0) Holistic project, funded by the European Union. This transformative endeavour was instrumental in assisting numerous SMEs in their journey to embrace innovative digital technologies. Collaborating closely with partners such as VEC, Growth Platform, and LJMU, the management school's pivotal role in this project has been assessed to contribute a substantial £100 million in gross value added (GVA) to the regional economy, resulting in the creation of 489 full-time job opportunities. Over a span of two years, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) extended support to 308 SMEs and start-ups throughout the North West, facilitating their seamless integration of cutting-edge digital technologies into their operational workflows. These endeavours encompass the development of sophisticated customer service tools, the strategic implementation of big data analytics, and the utilisation of visualisation tools to enhance decision-making processes and product development. Furthermore, our Knowledge Transfer workshops have empowered regional businesses to formulate astute business strategies, optimise their operations, and foster team upskilling for further development, culminating in the achievement of two additional KTP grants.
