    Dr Athanasia Daskalopoulou is Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the University of Liverpool Management School. Previously she held the position of Lecturer in Marketing at Newcastle University Business School. Athanasia was awarded her PhD in Marketing from Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester, where she was the recipient of the prestigious President's Doctoral Scholar Award. Athanasia’s interpretive research programme focuses on market dynamics, consumer culture, gender and arts marketing. Athanasia is also conducting sociological research on work focusing on technology use and its relationship with work practices and identity. Athanasia’s work has been published at international peer-reviewed journals such as Sociology; Social Science & Medicine; Marketing Theory; European Journal of Marketing; New Technology, Work and Employment; Journal of Services Marketing; Studies in Higher Education; Advances in Consumer Research. She has also presented her work in various international conferences such as Academy of Marketing Science Conference; Academy of Marketing Conference; Association for Consumer Research Conference; Frontiers in Service Conference; Consumer Culture Theory Conference; GENMAC Conference.
