Personal Statement

I specialise in Modern British History, with a focus on gender history, and histories of sexuality. I've published work on historical approaches to sex work, and the regulation of sexual health through policy agendas. My current research covers histories of feminism. My work has featured in Women's History Review, Social History of Medicine and History and Policy. My book, Save the Womanhood! Vice, urban immorality and social control in Liverpool, c.1900-1976 was published by Liverpool University Press in April 2018.
