The Farm Animal Veterinary Surveillance Network (FAVSNET) uses de-identified electronic health data, submitted by diagnostic laboratories and veterinary practices, to research topics affecting farm animal health and welfare.

A pilot project to collect data from veterinary practices in Wales providing care to farm animals. The project is intended to complement existing surveillance and enable early detection of outbreaks of disease.

In collaboration with microbiology researchers, we're examining antimicrobial prescribing and resistance patterns in farm animal medicine, contributing to strategies that optimise responsible antimicrobial use.
