The University of Liverpool is a physiotherapy training centre, so your horse will get the best care and rehabilitation plans created from the most recent evidence.

Equine Physiotherapy is a specialised branch of veterinary care that focuses on the physical rehabilitation and well-being of horses. It involves a combination of techniques designed to improve movement, reduce pain, and accelerate recovery from injuries or surgeries. Physiotherapy is commonly used for both performance horses and those recovering from injury, with the goal of improving mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

At Leahurst we have a Chartered Physiotherapist, Suzanne Cottriall, who has specialised in animal physiotherapy. Suzanne is the Programme Coordinator for the Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy and provides clinical services for both small and large animals at Leahurst as well as off-site equine physiotherapy.
