How you'll learn
You’ll learn through a mix of lectures, seminars, practical workshops, studio-based projects and collaborative design challenges. Drawing on modules from Computer Science, Communication and Media, English, Music and Philosophy, you’ll develop technical, creative and analytical skills while creating your own game concepts and prototypes. Dedicated Game Design modules bring these disciplines together, helping you gain hands-on experience with the tools, techniques and ideas that underpin successful game development.
How you're assessed
Assessment is project-driven and designed to reflect industry practice. Depending on the modules you choose, you’ll be assessed through game prototypes, design portfolios, programming assignments, presentations, creative projects, reports and critical analysis. Throughout your degree, you’ll build a portfolio of practical work that demonstrates both your technical and creative abilities. Opportunities for industry experience, including an optional Year in Industry, further support your professional development and employability.
