Accept your Clearing offer
To accept your Clearing offer and secure your place at Liverpool, you'll need to add the University of Liverpool as a Clearing choice in UCAS. This process is sometimes described as 'referring' yourself to a university.
To secure your place, you'll need to add the University of Liverpool as your Clearing choice in UCAS.
- Sign in to UCAS from 1pm on Thursday 13 August 2026
- Decline any offers you’re holding from other universities. This will ensure you’re eligible to apply to the University of Liverpool through Clearing
- Select your application, then select ‘Add a Clearing choice’
- Add the University of Liverpool as your Clearing choice and the course details.
Can't find your course?
If the course you’ve received an offer for isn’t available to select as a Clearing choice, you'll need to add the course code (Application Code). You can only use this option if you’ve previously applied to the University of Liverpool through UCAS.
- Sign in to UCAS from 1pm on Thursday 13 August 2026
- Select 'Add course code' under the University/College Supplied Code option
- Add the University of Liverpool and the course code (Application Code). This must be entered in capital letters, for example, CT60
- Enter the rest of the course details
- Submit your application once all mandatory fields are completed.
Need more time?
If you don’t think you'll be able to accept our Clearing offer by the deadline in your offer email, you can email uguk@liverpool.ac.uk to request an extension with the subject line 'Clearing course choice'. We’ll review your request and email to confirm whether we can extend the deadline for you.
Upload your qualifications (if applicable)
You may need to provide proof of your qualifications if they were completed in 2024 or earlier. Your offer email will direct you to an online form where you can upload your qualifications as evidence.
What happens next?
We'll confirm your place
Once you've successfully added your Clearing choice and we've completed the necessary checks, we'll confirm your place.
You'll receive your student ID
Your student ID number is 9 digits and will start with 20. We’ll email this to you, typically within 48 hours of you accepting your Clearing offer. You’ll need your student ID number to apply for accommodation.
Need to change your Clearing offer?
To request a change to a Clearing offer you're holding from us, complete our change request form as soon as possible. The deadline for course change requests is 4 September 2026.
We'll do our best to help but we can't guarantee that we'll be able to accommodate your request.
Please note, you can’t defer your year of entry if you’ve applied through Clearing.
