Student support services
Your first few days at University can be quite confusing and it may take time for you to settle into your new surroundings and life as a student. It may also be your first time away from home. The University has lots of support on offer for you to access.
You can get assistance with your studies, help with health and wellbeing, financial advice and more. Visit http://www.liverpool.ac.uk/studentsupport/
The School also offers support:
Learning and Teaching Support Officers (LTSO)
The LTSO team can offer pastoral support for students with personal or academic problems that could affect your studies.
Our LTSO team hold in-person drop-in sessions Mondays-Fridays 10:00 – 12:00 during term time. No appointment is necessary – just visit the LTSO office on the mezzanine in the Life Sciences building.
You can also book an appointment with a member of the LTSO team to meet online or in-person.
You can contact the team by emailing SoBSsupport@liverpool.ac.uk during term and non-term time. We will get back to you as soon as possible via Teams or email to arrange an appointment.
Academic Adviser
Students are assigned an Academic Adviser who can offer advice, help, and support relating to academic and pastoral matters. For complex queries you can contact your Programme Director or the Senior Academic Adviser team using saasobs@liverpool.ac.uk.
Disability support
If you have a disability and did not inform the University of this when applying to study with us, you can register with the Disability Advice and Guidance team. A variety of support is available to students who have disabilities – the purpose of which is to minimise any unfair disadvantage that you might experience when engaged in your studies. Undergraduate Student Experience Team
