Personal Statement

Formerly Rathbone Professor of Ancient History and Classical Archaeology at Liverpool (from 2004 until 2015), Tom Harrison is a Greek historian, specialising in history-writing in antiquity (especially Herodotus), in the representation of foreign peoples in Greek literature, and in Greek religious belief. He continues to supervise a number of Liverpool PhD students.
