Financial Mathematics BSc
If you’re studying the Financial Mathematics BSc at Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTLU), you can complete the final two years of your dual degree at the University of Liverpool on our 2+2 programme.
You’ll graduate with two qualifications – an XJTLU degree and a University of Liverpool degree, both recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Education. A Liverpool degree is globally respected within the academic community and among employers.

Actuarial Mathematics BSc (Hons)
Studying Actuarial Mathematics at Liverpool will allow you to take your career in any number of directions. Choose this programme and you will become an expert in using mathematical models to solve financial problems.
Economics BSc (Hons)
Taught by academic staff with an abundance of professional industry experience who utilise the latest economic thinking, this programme will help you develop a high level quantitative and analytical skills in any of our three pathways: Economics, Finance or Data and Econometrics. It is an exciting time to join us, our Economics programmes are ranked 11th from 71 providers (a rise of 7 places on last year) for Times Good University Guide 2025. We are now in the top 10 in the 2025 Guardian University Guide and we outperformed the sector benchmarks for all 7 question themes in NSS 2024. *based on subject area.
Mathematics with Finance BSc (Hons)
This is one of our most popular degree programmes with great employment potential. Studying a range of topics covering the core areas of mathematics, this course will prepare you for a career in the financial sector.

Fees and funding
Tuition fees cover the cost of your teaching and assessment, operating facilities such as libraries, IT equipment, and access to academic and personal support.
All XJTLU 2+2 students receive a partnership discount of 10% on international tuition fee rates.
XJTLU students beginning studies at Liverpool will receive a Vice Chancellor's Merit Scholarship of a 30% tuition fee reduction if they're in the top 5% of their programme cohort and achieve a minimum average score of 80%+ for STEM subjects, or 70%+ for non-STEM subjects.
The Vice-Chancellor's Merit Scholarship cannot be combined with the XJTLU partnership discount. Discounts and scholarships are valid for the programme duration at Liverpool.
Please note, students required to retake a year at Liverpool will be required to pay the full international tuition fee during the retake year.
