Our partnership combines the strengths of Chinese and UK higher education to provide rich opportunities for cross-cultural learning, joint research and global employability.

We established the Xi'an Jiatong Liverpool University (XJTLU) partnership with Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2006 to nurture international excellence. Student mobility has been at the heart of our collaboration for almost 20 years. Our transnational study options enable XJTLU and University of Liverpool undergraduate students to transfer to the partner university for a period of study. If you choose to study abroad in China or Liverpool, you’ll graduate with an international advantage. You’ll be well-prepared for further study at high-ranking universities or for an influential, global career.

The 2+2 programme

If you're studying an undergraduate course at XJTLU's Suzhou campus in China, you may have the option to complete the final two years of your degree at the Liverpool via our 2+2 programme. Explore your course options and discover how the 2+2 programme works.

Taicang 2+1+1 programme

Some undergraduate courses at XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) allow you to study at the University of Liverpool for a year via our bespoke 2+1+1 programme, designed to enhance your entrepreneurial skills. Explore the available courses and discover what to expect from the 2+1+1.
