ULWC visit to Wongs Jewellers
On 6 September 2017 the Women's club had an excellent evening at Wongs Jewellers in Whitechapel, Liverpool.
We split into small groups to view the workshop where Mr Peter Wong and his apprentice were crafting very delicate pieces of jewllery. This was followed by an informative talk on the making of bespoke jewellery and advice on how to care for your own jewellery. Many members were delighted to have their jewellery professionally cleaned and enjoyed trying on some beautiful pieces.
Wongs very generously gifted one of our members a delicate silver necklace in their prize draw.
The Wongs staff were most hospitable and generous with their time and we enjoyed a relaxed informal evening amongst friends old and new.
