As part of Campus & Operations Day during Sustainability Week 2025, themed around the University of Liverpool’s new Sustainability Strategy, join the Sustainability Team on Guild Street to explore key initiatives shaping a greener future for our campus.
Join us and our waste contractors, SUEZ, to explore the University’s ambitious waste reduction targets and discover how you can play a part in achieving them. Meet our Environmental Sustainability Officer, Tom Weldon, and learn about the newly launched Biodiversity Plan, designed to enhance and protect biodiversity on campus, creating a greener, more nature-friendly environment for all.
We're also excited to introduce Warp It—our new resource redistribution network that helps staff reuse, recycle, and repurpose surplus items like furniture, equipment, and fixtures. Plus, dive into the principles of the circular economy with the University’s Circular Economy Manger, Dr Rhiannon Hunt, and find out how sustainable practices can minimise waste and maximise resource efficiency.
This is your chance to meet the team behind these vital projects, ask questions, and share ideas for creating a more sustainable campus. Whether you’re passionate about reducing waste, protecting wildlife, or rethinking resource use, this event is a fantastic opportunity to get involved!
