Digital Skills Development to Enhance the Student Experience

In this podcast we chat with Jan Jobling about her successful Sir Alistair Pilkington Award for her Digital Inquiry Project that sought to impact the student experience through the development of students' digital skills and knowledge.

Jan Jobling

Jan has held a lectureship in Philosophy at The University of Liverpool since 2018. Her academic interests are interdisciplinary and based on the interface between philosophy, religion and ethics. She has developed a strong interest in the scholarship of learning and teaching and pedagogical development, spurred on during the pandemic by the online pivot and ‘turn to the digital’. This built upon former innovative work seeking to integrate further digital fluency into the Philosophy curriculum, for which she was awarded the Faculty’s Sir Alastair Pilkington Award in Learning and Teaching in 2021.
