Liverpool Plus
Liverpool Plus is an exciting new project for widening participation students, supporting positive transitions and solid foundations as you start your journey at the University of Liverpool.
Being a part of Liverpool Plus allows you to find your community at the University of Liverpool, meeting other students and building and strengthening relationships with different teams across the University who are key to your success. It'll help you make the most out of your University experience, by supporting you to explore everything Liverpool has to offer, from study skills workshops from our colleagues at the Library and the English Language Centre, to studying abroad with our Global Opportunities team.
As a Liverpool Plus student, you'll have access to a comprehensive programme of activities, drop in support, regular communication of opportunities and important information through a WhatsApp Community and Newsletter, and dedicated points of contact within the Widening Participation team, who can signpost you in the right direction whatever your question.
Liverpool Plus activities have included:
- Transition Webinars, running between A Level Results Day and Welcome Week at the University of Liverpool, to help you get prepared for joining #TeamLivUni
- Discover, a exclusive Welcome event for Liverpool Plus students, taking place just before the official start of Welcome
- Global Opportunities workshops, highlighting Study Abroad opportunities and funding for widening participation students, ahead of the University wide GO Week
- Social activities, including wellbeing activities
- Study skills sessions, delivered with Library Partners and the English Language Centre, to help you adapt to the academic expectations of Higher Education
- Writing retreats ahead of assessment season, to give you a brilliant space to concentrate on revision or essays. Previous Writing retreat venues have included BOXPARK Liverpool!
