Leverhulme Master’s Studentship in Global Urbanism and Heritage
Under the Leverhulme International Professorship in Urbanism and Coastal Heritage at the Architecture Heritage and Urbanism of West Africa Research Centre, funding is available for the provision of two Leverhulme Master’s Scholarships in Global Urbanism and Heritage.
Two awards – one UK and one International – will be available in the academic year 2026/27 for students on the MSc Global Urbanism and Heritage programme. Each scholarship consists of:
- Full tuition fee waiver
- A stipend to support living costs, worth £21,805.
To be considered, applicants must hold an offer for MSc Global Urbanism and Heritage for 2026/27.
A further two awards will be available in the academic year 2027/28; details on applying for the next round will be published on this page in due course.
Conditions
- To be considered for this award, candidates must complete and submit the application form (in the ‘How to apply’ section). It will not be possible to consider an individual for this award without the submission of this form
- Applicants are required to have applied for and successfully secured a place on the MSc Global Urbanism and Heritage programme through the standard procedure
- Two awards are available, which will be awarded as follows:
- A tuition fee waiver to the value of the current UK tuition fee (£12,500). For International students, the remainder of the tuition fee will be paid by the School of the Arts at the University of Liverpool
- A stipend of £21,805 to support living costs
- The successful candidate will keep the University regularly updated on progress and achievements. The candidate will be required to assist in the promotion of the bursary and the MSc Global Urbanism and Heritage programme as appropriate and when requested to do so
- The bursary is conditional on successful academic progress and demonstration of professional behaviour. The panel reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the bursary if there are any reasons for concern
- This award cannot be combined with any other financial awards offered by the University of Liverpool
