Tennis

Welcome to the University Tennis team

Tennis at the University of Liverpool features a huge programme, with weekly sessions available for players of all standards. Our team of incredible student coaches provide all you need in order to improve your game, ranging from beginners coaching through to intermediate and everything in between.

Competitive

We run sessions for those who have never played tennis before, to learn the basics and compete with a similar standard. Intermediate sessions are suited to players with some experience who are looking to improve their game, with the potential to progress to competitive teams.

Our squad is made up of four teams, two of which are women's teams and two men's. All four teams compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) Northern League in some of the highest tiers. We also compete in various competitions throughout the year such as Varsity, Women's Conference Cup and Christie Cup.

We train both indoors at Liverpool Tennis Centre and sometimes outdoors weather permitted.

Our training times are yet to be confirmed.

Performance

The women's tennis team are looking forward to a competitive season this year, they train and play their home matches at Mossley Hill tennis club which has excellent facilities. They have weekly strength and conditioning and coaching and have high expectations for their season in the BUCS division 1 league.
