Professional activities
Sue is an expert practitioner of economic development, skills and regional devolution having undertaken senior leadership roles in Liverpool City Region and Greater Manchester, delivering major thematic programmes and shaping regional and national policy agendas. Throughout her career Sue has convened cross-sector partnerships working at the interface between the public, private and education sectors. She operates within complex stakeholder environments working collaboratively with Local Authority Chief Executives, Elected Members and Business Leaders through Boards and stakeholder groups to set and deliver strategic priorities for economic growth. Most recently, as Project Director at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Sue led the Combined Authority’s Devolved Programmes covering employment and skills, working with government and partners to improve outcomes for the city region’s residents.
