Niamh Thornton is a specialist in Latin American Studies with a particular focus on Mexican film, literature and digital culture. She has a research interest in cultures of war and war stories from the Mexican Revolution up to the present day. She is also interested in the curation of online selves through online tools and sites, user-generated content, Chicanx and Latinx studies, and star studies. She has published extensively. Her most recent book is on the Mexican film star María Félix María Félix: A Mexican Film Star and her Legacy.
