About

Grant Robertson is a GMC-registered Physician Associate and Advanced Practice Skills Coach and Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. He brings over a decade of cross-sector experience spanning NHS clinical practice, higher education, pharmaceutical business intelligence, and healthcare artificial intelligence. He holds MSc in Physician Associate studies from Newcastle University and BSc in Pharmacology & Physiology from University of Manchester.

In his current role, Grant contributes to the delivery and development of the MSc Advanced Practice programme and ACP apprenticeship, teaching across clinical skills, women’s health, and end-point assessment preparation for apprentices. He is passionate about pastoral support for students and has contributed to STELLA and SLUICE initiatives in MSc Nursing to support international students.

Alongside his academic work, Grant has frontline clinical experience in primary care as a physician associate. Prior to entering clinical practice, he worked in analytical and consulting roles at Pfizer, IBM Watson Health, and Signals Analytics, where he supported healthcare and life sciences organisations with data-driven decision-making, AI solutions, and strategic insight.

Grant has a particular interest in digital health, clinical education, and the intersection between technology, data, and patient-centred care. He is passionate about preparing the next generation of advanced practitioners to work safely, reflectively, and effectively within modern healthcare systems.
