About

Annabelle graduated from University of Cambridge in 2018. She has worked in equine practice since, both in the USA (New Bolton Center) and UK (Rossdales Equine Hospital). She holds a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Equine Medicine) and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She completed a residency in Equine Internal Medicine in February 2026 (University of Liverpool).

Annabelle is currently working as a HBLB funded PhD researcher in equine antimicrobial use and antimicrobial resistance in UK breeding Thoroughbreds and neonates at the University of Liverpool, furthering her interest in antimicrobial resistance, neonatology and equine critical care. She continues her clinical work on the senior Equine Internal Medicine out of hours rota at the Leahurst Equine Hospital.

Annabelle enjoys teaching and has spoken at several BEVA approved CPD events including 'Updates in Equine Medicine’, ‘Essentials of Equine Veterinary Nursing’ and 'Tricky Medicine Cases'. She has also contributed to post-graduate teaching through BEVA clinical catch-up on ‘stable side foal care’ and has lectured on University of Liverpool post-graduate modules for veterinary surgeons and nurses.
