About
Alison graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1999 and worked in equine practice where she obtained her RCVS Certificate in Equine Practice. She then completed a Residency in Equine Diagnostic Imaging at Bristol University, obtaining the RCVS Certificate in Equine Orthopaedics during this time. After working back in equine practice, Alison was appointed Clinician Teacher in Equine Orthopaedics at the Equine Hospital in 2009 progressing to lecturer in 2011 and Senior Lecturer in 2017. Alison holds a Diploma in Veterinary Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation, is an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Equine Medicine (Sports Medicine) and a European Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
Alison is part of the team of treating veterinary surgeons at the Horse of the Year Show and undertakes duties for the FEI as a level 3 official veterinarian in show jumping and dressage.
