Personal Statement

Dr. Ohri qualified from the University of Liverpool with honours in 2005 and undertook her hospital training within the Wirral area. She has been practising as a GP since 2011. She is a board member of the Royal College of GPs (Mersey Faculty).

She undertakes several roles within undergraduate medical education at the University of Liverpool. She works as a Community Clinical Teacher (CCT) and also as a Communication in Clinical Practice (CCP) Tutor for medical students. She works as a Lecturer for the Physicians Associates and is involved with various aspects of the course. She also acts as an academic adviser for medical students.

She has been involved in exam writing and OSCE station writing. She undertakes the role of an examiner for both medical students and physicians associates.

She also interviews for medical school admissions.

She has been involved in the medical school careers event and also with supporting the medical students' GPSoc through exam revision, case creation and support for their Situation Judgment Tests (SJTs).

She has been involved in the delivery of the 6th form conference here at the University of Liverpool. She also undertakes an interest in the role of widening participation, particularly by speaking about the career of medicine at local schools.
