Our undergraduate programmes

Our product design engineering courses combine engineering with advanced product development and design design skills.

You will study core engineering disciplines including solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, electronics, and computer programming. Alongside these, you will develop product design skills such as design communication, human factors, product development, and project management. Together, these foundations provide a strong understanding of the scientific principles that underpin product design engineering.

You will then progress to advanced engineering science, working on complex design engineering projects that reflect real-world industry practice. You'll learn how to develop innovative and sustainable products, services and systems, that make a positive impact on society. The result is a modern degree that develops expertise in both engineering and design, preparing you for a successful career in a wide range of industries.

You can choose from a 3-year BEng, or 4-year MEng, course with options to spend a year in industry for both. The courses also offer options to study abroad.
