Dr Jingqi Zhu

Personal Statement

I am Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in International Business at the University of Liverpool. Prior to joining ULMS in September 2020, I was a Lecturer at Newcastle University Business School. I obtained my doctoral degree from Cardiff University.

My research centres on the globalisation of services and its impact on society, organisation and employment from a sociological perspective. Particularly, across a range of national contexts and different levels of analysis, my work examines how institutions shape globalising organisations and individuals, with a focus on professional service sectors and IT offshore outsourcing.

My research has been published in leading and 'FT Top 50' journals, including Human Relations, Accounting, Organizations and Society, Organization, Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Journal of Professions and Organization.

I currently serve as the Deputy Chair of the UG Board of Examiners in the School.
