One of the UK’s most recognisable film critics, Mark Kermode, is joining us at the festival to discuss his new book.

Mark Kermode will be discussing his new book Surround Sound: The Stories of Movie Music with Jenny Nelson which is published this September.

Co-authored with radio producer Jenny, the book is a deep dive into the world of movie soundtracks and gives an insight into the emotional connection that audiences form with film music.

As well as an award-winning film critic, Mark is also a musician and radio and television presenter and hosts a popular film review podcast Kermode & Mayo’s Take with former BBC Radio broadcaster Simon Mayo.
