Personal Statement

I serve as a Lecturer specialising in Digital Education & Innovation and the Technology Enhanced Learning lead within the School of Dentistry at the University of Liverpool. With extensive experience in the education sector, I have dedicated years to researching, implementing, and evolving technology to enhance the learning and teaching experience. My expertise spans from acquiring "off the shelf" solutions to crafting bespoke digital systems tailored to specific educational requirements.

My primary focus lies in clinical education within intricate non-modular programs. Leading a small, diverse team, I am involved in various aspects, including the development of assessment and feedback technologies, integration of cutting-edge tools like GAI, VR, and AR to support simulation, and the day-to-day management of technology platforms such as Canvas and Panopto. Additionally, I engage in forward-thinking initiatives to explore emerging technologies.

Beyond this, I take the lead in teaching digital communication skills across the school, aiming to cultivate digitally literate students who are well-prepared for the challenges of the modern educational landscape.
