Language Lounge HEAR Programme

We are looking for volunteers interested in leading one-to-one conversation sessions as part of our HEAR-accredited volunteering programme.

This could be useful to anyone thinking about a career in teaching - at home or abroad - and it will also be something valuable to add to your CV, as well as being a great way to meet new people.

We will of course provide you with a reference and something for your HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report), in exchange for just seven hours of your time across the academic year, usually on the basis of one hour a week at times of the year that work best for you.

You don’t need to have any experience, just a willingness to have a go and an interest in helping others with conversation practice. 

The one-to-ones usually last for 20 minutes per session and can take place face-to-face or online, whatever works best for you.
