In the Institute of Education, you'll be taught by academics who conduct world-class research and innovative teaching.

The programme currently available at the Institute is a Master's in Education, and we will soon be offering a PhD in Education, which will be taught by a core and extended team drawn from across the University and beyond. The team has also been involved in the delivery of an online Education Doctorate, which is no longer recruiting.

The MA in Education aims to:

• Help students develop a deep understanding of educational philosophies, models, and theories, enabling them to critically analyse and apply these frameworks in various educational contexts
• Foster skills in educational research methodologies, enabling students to conduct independent, evidence-based research and contribute to the knowledge base in education
• Enhance the ability to critically evaluate educational practices, policies, and research, and develop solutions to complex educational problems in diverse settings
• Equip students with the skills necessary for leadership roles in education settings.
