Title: Cybersecurity and digital transformations of the country's wartime economy: the fight against cybercrime, corruption and the shadow sector

Abstract:  The seminar will focus on a research project conducted by a team of scientists from Sumy State University and funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The project is dedicated to “Cybersecurity and Digital Transformations of the Country’s Wartime Economy: The Fight Against Cybercrime, Corruption, and the Shadow Sector.” The speaker will present key aspects of conducting scientific research under the constraints of wartime, including challenges related to funding, data access, and implementation. Practical case studies will be shared, highlighting the use of economic and mathematical methods to address cybersecurity threats and shadow economic activities. Special attention will be paid to the difficulties Ukrainian researchers face in integrating research findings into public policy and economic practice during the war. The seminar will also explore how the obtained results can be used by government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders interested in strengthening national resilience and promoting digital transparency.
