Following the initial consultation on the FRAP proposals (Future Research Assessment Programme), the four funding councils issued an update on plans for the next assessment, with some significant amendments to the original proposal, most importantly that the next REF will be REF 2029.

The Institute of Popular Music, part of the School of the Arts, has launched a brand new podcast. In this pilot episode, University of Liverpool's academics discuss the Institute's archive. In particular the collection of Robert Pring-Mill which features sound recordings, posters, albums and ephemera surrounding politically committed songs from Chile by artists including Víctor Jara and Violeta Parra.
