Introducing EVSNET

EVSNET (Equine Veterinary Surveillance Network for the UK Equine Population) is a national initiative led by the University of Liverpool and initially funded by The Horse Trust (2020–2025). It provides valuable equine health and disease insights to veterinary practitioners, diagnostic laboratories, and horse owners across the UK. Currently, there is no comprehensive national system for monitoring equine health records in the UK. EVSNET addresses this gap by establishing a robust platform for syndromic surveillance and large-scale, real-time research. The project collects and analyses health data from two primary sources: veterinary practices and diagnostic laboratories.
