Place and innovation
Digital innovation supports research, enterprise and collaboration across our campuses, the Liverpool City Region and beyond. We are embedding technology into our places so that people, ideas and services connect more easily and deliver real benefit to our city and partners.
Enabling our smart campus
- We are equipping the estate with digital infrastructure and services that make campus life more connected and productive. Investment in networks, sensors and flexible space will allow learning, research and operations to adapt quickly to changing needs while improving the experience for staff, students and visitors
- Our approach will support efficient use of space, improved navigation and richer learning environments that combine physical and digital presence
Enhancing civic collaboration
- The University works in partnership with local organisations to share insights and create public value. By building secure data platforms and collaborative tools we will enable regional problem solving, inform policy and attract investment that benefits the city and its communities
- We will pursue joint initiatives that support jobs, skills and enterprise while promoting research led innovation across the Liverpool City Region
Innovating in health science culture and heritage
- Our research frontiers and facilities provide opportunities to test new technologies that transform sectors from health to culture. We will explore applications such as telemedicine, extended reality, immersive exhibitions and digital twins to improve services and create new forms of public engagement
- By combining academic strength with digital capability we will accelerate innovation that has measurable impact for people and places.
