Estranged Students
The University of Liverpool is committed to supporting estranged students prior to starting their course and throughout their studies, as well as students who become estranged while on course.
We are proud to have made the Stand Alone pledge, and hold the NNECL Quality Mark in recognition of our support for this student group.
Estranged students can receive support through our Disrupted Education programme pre-entry and access a bespoke support offer while on course, which includes:
- The Estranged Student Bursary, worth £1,000 (subject to eligibility). This award may be held in conjunction with other widening participation bursaries and scholarships
- A discount on University owned Halls of Resident for holders of the Estranged Student Bursary
- 365 day accommodation
- Support with fees for a guarantor scheme in Years 2 and 3
- A named contact within the Widening Participation and Outreach team (Ben Toleman)
- A named contract within the Wellbeing, Advice and Guidance team (Clodagh Dunne)
- A place on the Liverpool Plus Student Transition and Success programme
