Graham Morris Hardship Award
Applications are open now.
About the award
The University of Liverpool is pleased to offer the Graham Morris Hardship Award, to support undergraduate computer science students with an award of £750. This is to be spent on technology to support your learning.
The award is made possible through the generosity of Liz Taylor, Graham’s beloved wife. Graham was an engineering graduate of the University, whose time here instilled in him a sense of confidence and the belief that he could do anything he put his mind to. During his time at the University he joined a theatrical group, leading to a passion in making amateur films, alongside hobbies such as flying, boating, dancing (rock and roll and jive as favourites), cycling and music, and visiting iconic music venues around the world, such as Sydney Opera House.
Graham later retrained in IT, with a career taking him to Germany and Australia. He loved every minute of his working life and was hugely passionate about computer science.
The Graham Morris Hardship Award will provide funding for students to access the technology they need to fully access their university studies and experiences. With this award, you could follow in Graham's footsteps by living life to the full, following your passions and not ‘making do’.

The scholarship will provide a one off payment of £750. Two awards are available for 2025/26.
