Students can choose either at the Parramatta or the Penrith campus. The Parramatta campus are located in the geographical heart of Sydney on the banks of the beautiful Parramatta River and many of its buildings are heritage listed. The Penrith campus sits in the foothills of the stunning Blue Mountains, one of Australia's natural treasures and a World Heritage wonder. Western Sydney University (WSU) has five campuses hosting the study abroad program located in Greater Western Sydney, Australia’s third largest and fastest growing regional economy. WSU researches and teaches across 100 study areas with a student population of 45,000 students are well-positioned to succeed in an increasingly connected world. Ranked amongst the top two per cent of universities worldwide by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Australia’s national assessment of research quality assessed 80% of the University’s Fields of Research as being at, above, or well above world standard. Eleven of the University’s disciplines were given the highest possible rating of five, denoting the quality of the research as being well above world standard.
