The role of this board was is to evaluate and advise on RUEDI’s scientific and research objectives, providing overarching strategy and advocating the aims of the RUEDI National Facility as detailed in the Conceptual Design Review.

Governance structure
The new EPSRC-led RUEDI governance structure is set out below.
The purpose of the Project Board is to be the key governance group for the project ensuring that the project delivers the benefits identified in the agreed business case in line with budgets and timescales. The board will have oversight of progress, and responsibility for key decisions during the design, construction, and commissioning of the RUEDI facility.
The purpose of the Delivery Team is to be responsible for the coordination of the delivery of the RUEDI facility, through co-ordination of the activities of the individual working groups.
Four working groups have been established to represent stakeholder interests in its capabilities and operation. These focus on:
- Science engagement
- Diffraction
- Imaging
- Business case development.
