I joined the Department of Biochemistry, Cell and Systems Biology at the University of Liverpool as a Tenure Track Fellow in September 2026. My research focuses on understanding the assembly, organisation and physiological functions of bacterial microcompartments in Salmonella, with broader interests in exploring their potential as therapeutic targets for infections caused by enteric pathogens.
I obtained my PhD from the University of Liverpool in 2021 and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research with Professor Luning Liu and Professor Jay Hinton, developing expertise in bacterial cell biology, molecular microbiology and advanced imaging techniques.
